Wyndham should have conducted a contest for owners to name the chatbot, because as usual, owners would have much better ideas. "Wynston" is one example; it is upscale and definitely more mature than "Wyndi" and more befitting the Wyndham Destinations demographic.

"Wyndi" sounds like a cartoon character for preschoolers.

There were owner surveys from the website that covered this category - you just didn't see them because you weren't in the luck of the draw for the randomized surveys for this item.

A pet peeve of mine! The website has several EXCLUSIVE POINTS DISCOUNTS, most of them in the Southeast. All of them expired on April 11, 2024.

How tough to take down expired, outdated notices?
It's a very simple fix, but......... we all know what happens after updates. It's better to leave well enough alone than to chance not being able to log in. My pet peeve is ghost inventory. I wonder how many canceled reservations to rebook and find out the hard way.

Oh the ghosts are just AWFUL. I try and comment regularly (give feedback on the website) FWIW. I don't trust the discounts at all. As you pointed out, they show up long after they've expired. I've also often found discounts that weren't advertised (and thus I typically search using resale first - as that will show me if there is a discount) - then I can choose whether to book with the resale/resort discount versus my VIP discount. Now, if you wanted to check and see what discounts were available to decide where you might go, I punt on that.

This is new. What does this mean? I didn't add a guest. This is a reservation with Rick's name on it. I think it used one of the two exceptions I have. That wouldn't be okay.

I’ve had that show up for a while now. I think they are just telling you that the reservation is during priority time, so you don’t have to look it up or guess.

Fairly new - the Timeshare Owner Priority indication is on all reservations booked during owner priority (regardless of if you use one or not).

You can check your benefits summary to see if it counted as an owner priority reservation (I have 2 of 2 remaining). The Developer annotation is irrevelant - it applies to your account, dev/resale doesn't matter (overall lots of bad wording around this but count is correct).

I’ve had that show up for a while now. I think they are just telling you that the reservation is during priority time, so you don’t have to look it up or guess.
Correct - it's letting you know that this reservation is occurring within a blackout period - so if you plan to send someone other than an owner - it's going to use a GA (vs a GC).

Thank you for clarifying that. I saw the warning as I booked it and thought it was using one of my exceptions. I will never use any of those.

I'll just add I tried all these and they seem to be working. I didn't go as far as clicking "book now" in RCI, but normally it would say something like "You don't have enough points in RCI to complete this booking" and now it's giving me the "book now" button.

I was also trying to figure out why they would make what was a VIP benefit available to everyone (sorry, VIPs!), and my guess is that they're trying to get folks who have some points in RCI but not enough for an exchange they're looking at to go ahead and pull the trigger on the spot.

OMG, and they fixed my biggest recent pet peeve - that the search bar search results had like a page and a half of preview for each search result. They've cut it back to a sweet two lines of text. It had gotten almost unusable. I know the page said "n/a" about bug fixes, but if not a bug, that was a horrible unintended consequence of an earlier update.

It had gotten almost unusable. I know the page said "n/a" about bug fixes, but if not a bug, that was a horrible unintended consequence of an earlier update.
For the most part, they don't actually capture and list bug fixes.

I do have enough points to book, or at least, I can deposit points to RCI from next year (because I'm less than 10 months from the start of my use year) where I have tons of points. So I don't know if I found a random resort that behaves differently when I checked earlier in the week, or if something has changed since then. But now I can't find a resort or date that behaves the way I saw earlier in the week, with the appearance of allowing me to book instantly.

And now it's back. Maybe whatever connection Wyndham uses to hand off the eligible points amount to RCI wasn't working when I checked on Saturday. But "Book now" is back for me, at least for now.

I booked an RCI on Saturday without a glitch though I did have available points in RCI.
Yes, the issue wasn't booking with points already in RCI, but having the ability to use the RCI Instant Search and Book feature which was just rolled out to all owners (was previously only VIP Gold and above).

Hi, I'm new to using RCI through my Wyndham account. In May, I booked a 2 night exchange for 8400 points plus fees, though I didn't have any points deposited in RCI. Chat rep told me I didn't need to deposit anymore, they would be automatically taken out of my Wyndham account,. Chat booked reservation, stay last month went fine, but points still not taken out of my Wyndham account. As of a few weeks ago, my RCI accounts now tells me the Wyndham points I have available for use which is my current correct amount of unused CW points this and next year, and I now have the ability to search and book Full 7 day RCI weeks with points without chat help. BUT, I no longer have the ability to search and select any exchange stays under 7 days, anywhere, it doesn't show up on the search. Does anyone else have that issue? Is it possible with this new transition I need to have some points deposited into RCI in order to see point exchanges under 7 days? I still have 0 points deposited into RCI. RCI and Wyndham no help. Can other Wyndham points owners see exchanges under 7 days? Does anyone have a RCI account without any points deposited into RCI that can select less than 7 day exchange vacations?
I'm most interested in using my Wyndham points to book these shorter exchange stays, many that are discounted. But now I cannot search for them.

My aunt always called me Windy-Cindy when we were kids, she is only 2.5 years older than me. She still calls me that sometimes.

The salespeople are full of wind, that's for sure. But I don't have to go on their stupid sales' presentations ever again. I still feel like wearing Wyndham SUCKS! T-shirts at the resorts.
