This reminds me of a Christmas when I was 3. We were living in Beeville, TX (Dad was in the Navy). We traveled to Oklahoma for Christmas with Family from my Mom's side. Once one Kid was awake all the Kids were up and then the adults. After opening presents and playing with them the women went into the kitchen to start Breakfast? Only to discover it was only 4am. So we had got everyone up about 2am. I remember my older brother got a pedal tractor.

Yep! That sounds liked Christmas in our home. Now children , received Christmas gifts 365 days a year. December 25, is just another Happy Holiday to the average child or teenager.
