the backstory is quite accurate. I was partners for a period of time with Errol Beard and we secured the rights from Mike Reyerson to reprint the poster. Our partnership ended a few years later and Errol bought the image from Mike. Bud Clark was a great guy and a great ambassador for Portland. I owned a poster and print shop in downtown Portland during his mayorship. Bud announced early in his second term that he wouldn't run for a third. He had taken a mortgage out to pay for his campaign, and when he made that announcement donations dried up. Errol and I decided that we should hold a fund raiser for Bud. The poster, which we sold for $10 normally, was sold for $25, with all the markup going to Bud's campaign debt. We actually ended up holding about three signings. Additionally the Oregonian newspaper wrote up a story which was picked up nationally. People from all over the country began sending money, wanting to buy a copy with Bud's signature. They sent the money and orders to the Mayor's office and since they couldn't deal with it there, we handled all the orders. I think we ended up raising about $25,000 for Bud. It was one of the high points in my business life. As you can see, the poster is signed by Bud. Maybe we were involved in this particular one.

In ancient times, cats were treated like Gods. The cats have never forgotten that.
You can go to a shelter and bring home a rescue animal. You feed it, take care of it, nurture it, and give it a good life. If it's a dog, the dog will think that you are a god. A cat, however, will conclude that it is a god.

Many of the non-timeshare components at TUG are just as enjoyable, if not more so, than the timeshare activities. It's a great community; TUG, in many ways, is a pillar for what social media on the internet can be.
