"I don't know of any Starwood resorts that only have 2 bdms. or larger."

Sure, there are a lot of Starwood 2-br lockoff configurations, but .............

How about Lakeside Terrace, Steamboat Springs, Villas of Cave Creek (for now), Vistana's Beach Club and the voluntary, Bay Vista phase of WSJ? All have no lockoff units. No studios or 1-brs either. Only non-lockoff 2-br or 3-br units.

The rumor also has been that the plans at WKORV-N-N (if it ever gets off the ground) only have non-lockoff 2-br and 3-br units. ... eom

Correct!!!

But I think there is only one resort with a 3-bedroom unit, capable of breaking into three units for trading.

WSJ only has one code at II (for now, anyway -- I suspect this will change as more BV units flip in the resale market). Therefore, it's not possible to request "Hillside" vs "Bay Vista." II won't let a one-BR place an ongoing request for a 2-BR because there are studios and one-BRs in phase one.

tomandrobin, ... "Correct!!!

Yes, SVV, Key West. But, I wasn't responding to that valid post or characterization of the obvious II versatility of the Key West 3-br lockoff. I was responding to the erroneous declaration that there were no Starwood resorts with only 2-br or larger units.

Of course, places like Desert Willow, Riverfront, Lagunamar and (I think) WMH are only sold as 2-br lockoff units (EY, even or odd). That means the resale has to match the deed and must re-sell a 2-br unit. However, with these resorts, the use can be split even if the legal title to the units cannot. You could consider those resorts to be only 2-br or larger resorts.

But, I was afraid to say that for fear of being chastised by some about being wrong. ;) ... eom

Gee, I'm sorry if I confused anyone. I should have said that I don't know of an dedicated two bedrooms.

It's good to know that there are some - that will help the OP who wants to make a list of dedicated 2 bdm. units that she may be able to trade into with an on-going request with a 1 bdm.

I think you missed the point. None of these resorts would be considered two bedroom ONLY resort by II, because the lock-offs can be split into smaller units for II exchanges. The OP is looking for resorts that ONLY have dedicated 2 bdm. or larger units.

Besides that - at Lagunamar you can actually buy a studio, 1 bdm., or 2 bdm.

At Westin Riverfront you can actually buy a 2 bdm., Lg. 1 bdm., or Sm. 1 bdm.

I have the price lists posted in Owner Resources.

That would have been just as erroneous (not really confusing at all) as what you did say. ... eom

Yes, thanks Denise. It would be a resort that has a 2 bedroom dedicated unit, but does not have any studio or 1 bedrooms.

It will be very interesting to see how you do with the 1:2 ongoing request. If you really want a 2 bdm. Marriott exchange, don't put Starwood resorts in the same request, because with the Starwood to Starwood preference, Starwood is likely to match first. Let us know how it goes!

I have deleted some posts, including my own, that were going off on a tangent.

This is a great topic folks - let's stay on topic. :hi:

I've also been thinking that keeping my Starwood ongoing requests separate from other brands would be smart in relation to the request fee. A Starwood only request should be cheaper than a request with mixed TS brands in it, correct?

Correct - if you have a mixed request, you pay the higher fee, even if you get a Starwood trade.

I've never used II. Twice I went where I own (westin maui). Once I went to Westin Kaui. Once I rented Side A (covered homeowner dues) and used Side B. Twice traded for StarPoints as I was traveling in places with fantastic Starwood properties and didn't plan any trips where timeshares were an option. And this year (for next years use) I rented both sides seperately and made some money. Again, my travel plans aren't conducive to timeshare use. May try to sell next year,
