Why does Tug not have a dedicated SVN forum? It would appear to me that there is enough traffic to justify a SVN forum.

If you feel strongly about this, get a whole bunch of people to email Brian ( Tug Improvements) and ask him.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I emailed Brian about getting a separate Starwood forum as soon as I read your response.

I actually like having all the hotel system information in one place, rather than branch Starwood off into its own forum. I own Starwood but get to read about the other programs if I see an interesting thread title. I'd miss that if I went to a dedicated Starwood forum and then I'd have to go to yet another page to read about the rest.

I would also like to see a dedicated Starwood forum - so add my vote. Do we all really need to email Brian separately?

Count me in! I have been a member for a few months and never understood why there wasn't a unique Starwood forum. Would love it!

I'll adapt either way, but I agree--I like reading the occasional Hilton/Hyatt that catches my eye. It seems to me a majority of the questions on this board are already related to Starwood, so I don't see the need to separate out.

There's no reason we all can't still glance in on the other non-Starwood forums to see that information.

And Marriott is in it's own forum now, so all the hotel-related programs aren't currently together anyway.

Please add my vote for a separate Starwood forum, too!

I still like them together, because...

...where would we post threads like Ranking the Top 4 Hotel-based Timeshare Systems if we split them up?

I can go either way. I'll just end up browsing one or both forums anyway.

Maybe if Starwood builds more resorts it would be more obvious that it needs its own forum? Has anyone ever figured out how many TUGers own Starwood and how many own Marriott?

As much as I like the Hotel based Timeshares in one.... I have to agree there is enough chatter about Starwood to split off to its own forum....

I sent him an e-mail to vote -yes-

There are 170 BBS members which have Westin or Sheraton in the profile of resorts owned. ( compared to 575 for Marriott owners)

This may not be a complete list because some owners may only list Mission Hills (or WKV- Kierland) and not add the word Westin. 5 people who posted to this thread don't have the word weston or sheraton in their profile.

Is there something in particular that a new forum would provide over the existing one?

(short of the obvious...starwood only posts that is)

One of the larger complaints I get is that there are SO many forums as it is...so creating a new one is done only out of necessity!

(not that im against it...so please dont think that...Ill always do what the users need and want)
