Starwood Budgets

Hi Everyone,

I am working on a research endeavor to evaluate all time shares regarding expenses. I want all time share owners to know what their friends are paying for items like accounting, housekeeping, transportation, front desk, etc. I think if we know what others are paying, then we will be able to work better with management.

So far, Marriott owners have sent me about 100 budgets in pdf form, which I am converting to excel.

Could you help me in getting budgets (pdf is fine, excel preferred) from the Wyndham owners?

All research for all time shares will be posted for all to use once I put it all in excel (it will be easy to read).

This seems like a massive project to compile, just satisfy your curiosity. Frankly, I don't understand how the info. will be useful?

As far as Starwood goes, the board meetings are a joke and owner input is clearly not welcome. If you read through some of the old posts about owner-management relations on this board, you will see that Starwood deals with owners by ignoring them.

It will be useful; like comparing your personal budget to a friends. We might be able to see trends that would help us create, "best practices". It is funny how little variations can impact a bottom line. I was the VP of finance for my HOA and we were able to decrease costs quite a bit without decreasing quality by comparing and contrasting with others.

I think in this economic environment it pays to watch your pennies, but it won't be enough just to say I think we can save money; we need to have cold hard facts and having other TS owners budgets at our disposal will be key.
