The Sea to Sky Hwy 99 between Vancouver and Squamish has spectacular scenery.
Additionally the Sea to Sky Gondola attraction is spectacular.

Here are a few shots from that Gondola attraction

Gorgeous country. Are you staying in Whistler?

Our daughter and her husband spent a summer climbing in Squamish and her photos were amazing. We are planning to spend some time there in the next couple of years.

I did that drive 25 years ago! Fantastic!

one my favorite trips of all time was taking the ferry to Nanaimo, then driving through Port Alberni to Uclulet

I've also done the Sea to Sky highway many times on the way to Whistler, most recently two weeks ago. The section along Howe Sound is particularly spectacular. We usually stop for a break and lunch at Squamish.

The drive from Port Alberni to Pacific Rim National Park, particularly Cathedral Grove, is equally wonderful. Lots of gorgeous scenery in BC. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the current wildfires don't reach Cathedral Grove.

Two of favorite fishing destinations. Port Alberni is one of the best places to catch salmon in the world in calmer water. Uclulet is a swell place to fish for halibut. I kind of favor Campbell River and Painters Lodge.

Shannon Falls. Just a few minutes south of the Gondola attraction

The very first photo in this thread is Mount Garibaldi. This is the photo I took from the summit back towards the Sea to Sky highway.

If you're not taking a vehicle, I recommend taking the float plane from YVR to Nanaimo harbour. Some great views. Easy 15 min flight that is not crazy expensive. And you'll actually likely fly over the ferry :)
