Yeah, they need to get the fires soon, so Grandma can make it to our house to watch the kids... :D She usually comes one the 118 frwy... oh well guess she could come the 101, but she should head out soon... :whoopie:

Thanks for the good thoughts. For a change, we are fine here in San Diego. I think LA is getting it much worse this time around.

On the bright side, the weather is fantastic. It's in the mid-80s, dry and breezy. I love it (minus the fire risk).

Glad to hear things are basically OK. Yeah, fire isn't something we in northeast OH have to worry about much. 2 (or more) feet of snow in the driveway, in April sometimes, yes. Lake effect rain, yes. Fire, no. But we do get baby earthquakes once in a while. So in that respect we're kind of like southern CA!
 
The seasons in LA are:

fire
mudslide
earthquake
riot
 
I can add one more season to LA (and San Diego) if it won't be censored by our Mods:

Fake boob season. That's when all the ladies who got their new silicone come parading out, wearing next to nothing, to show off the new curves. It goes from about May till October. My friend, a plastic surgeon, swears by it. His highest volume month is March -- in preparation for the "season."
