My husband and I just finished up our volunteer duties at the PGA golf tournament in Las Vegas today, and it was a great week. It was interesting to discover that a number of the other volunteers had travelled from many other states, and that made me think maybe this is something Tuggers would enjoy, too.
If you're planning a stay in Las Vegas in October, 2009, and you enjoy golf, you might want to consider either volunteering a day or two or just attending the tournament next year. The official title of the tournament is the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open. It's not one of the major PGA tournaments because of the time of year, as I understand it, but it surely was a lot of fun to be a part of it.
An added benefit, for me at least, was that on the Celebrity Pro/Am day, I got to speak to Luke Wilson and Greg Kinnear and I got to see Justin Timberlake. Seeing the professional golfers play was fun, too.
