I am subscribed to Redweek alerts and get emails when a week is listed for sale at various resorts that I choose to follow. I just got an email alert with hundreds of newly listed resale weeks at many resorts, all with Redweek full service. Looks like a mega-owner-renter just dumped their entire ownership portfolio for sale. Prices are reasonable to high - no real bargains. Anyone has an idea what's going on?

MVCs?

Yeah, I just got an email with 5 Sheraton Vistana Villages weeks that were listed. I thought it was strange. Some were decent Prime season weeks that are good SO generators. At least from an SVV standpoint.

They don't look like they were all from the same source though. Some were with Redweek full service and one or more were from a different seller.

I just got an email with a ton of The Manhattan Club listings in NYC

I have an alert set for rentals at Crystal Shores and just got a list of 20 weeks from Nov 1 2025 to September 20, 2026.

Hi @echino
I have Set up my Redweek acct to notify me of all new Puerto Vallarta listings { rentals & sales ]
I received an email at 2:51 pm listing resales on 7 different PV area brands / resorts - 3 are Vidanta brands and then there is
Gaza Blanca - Paradise Village - Villa del Palmer & Playa Royale.

I wonder if there wasn't a bug that prevented new listing alerts from going out that they fixed which resulted in this bulk of emails being sent?

I was wondering about that as well. I have seen other websites accidentally send out alerts about stuff that is not new.

Has anyone heard anything else about this? It looks like these are truly new postings, not a website bug that was preventing new listing alerts from being sent out. I don't understand why someone would just dump so much inventory all at once. Do they know something the rest of us don't?

Seen 12 new units at the resort I follow. Quickly sent email on a couple units. Only to find out they had just Relisted the same units they already had posted. The descriptions were different,
some had less information, leading me believe they were new units for sale. Would be curious if this is what everyone else is seeing.

What leads you to believe these are all new postings and not a bug? If their Ref# on listings is sequential, one of the listings for SVV has a # of 230816 where another has 227291. Do we have that many new postings?

I follow the Marriott Grand Residence Club pretty closely (that's where I own) and there are normally very few resale postings. At least one of the two new listings from 8/22 is new, maybe both are. I could be wrong but I definitely don't remember seeing at least one of them before.

Redweek verified listings, so you cannot tell who is selling these.

Could be a broker, but why would a broker need to list verify?

I think the most likely scenario is they made a bulk deal with a broker to list all their inventory at a low price, or for only a success-based fee.

With all their changes redweek is at risk of driving away enough listings that they go the way of myresortnetwork or the newspaper classifieds.

Has anyone sold their timeshare on RedWeek successfully?

I, along with many others, including TUG members, have bought successfully through RedWeek. Obviously someone has to be on the other end of those transactions, which means many people have sold successfully on RedWeek..

I have sold several timeshares on RW and plan to sell a few more. The huge # of listings isn't mine. :)

I bought my MGV platinum week on Redweek.

I too have alerts set up with Redweek for a few resorts. I normally get one or two resort notifications in a week. Like everyone else, I got a ton with one email during this same timeframe as everyone else. Since that Redweek email on Friday August 22nd with a ton of listings, the notifications have since gone back to normal. Seeing that it is a variety of resorts that got slammed, I’m with @dioxide45 that it could be a glitch.

I've actually gotten alerts for one resort I had been watching in the past for and had never seen show up for sale on RW, even for less desirable low season weeks - it's been quite a few years and I had forgotten I had a watch set for it.

I haven’t found a deal on RedWeek yet but on the other side perhaps easier to sell on RedWeek?
