Due to life changes, we are not going to be using our Carlsbad Seapointe timeshare anymore, so it is time to pass it along to a new home for free. This is a nice, ocean-front resort in Southern California near San Diego; well-managed, that has great value. If you are looking for a timeshare to own, with excellent exchange opportunities, this is one to consider. We have already given away our fixed-week, odd-year unit and it does not make any sense to keep this one too.

This is a floating week at Carlsbad Seapointe, in Carlsbad, California. It is a biennial even-year “C” unit type floating week. Maintenance fees are billed annually in December. $639.69 was paid for 2023. The June 2023 special assessment has also been paid.

All fees are fully paid through 2023 and there are no contract or other fees owing. Closing and transfer fees are $450 through Advanced Financial Company and the process typically takes about 60 days to finalize. We would agree to cover 50% of your closing and transfer fees. Your first year of use would be 2024, with the first half MF being billed to you for 2024. Owners have day-use privileges at the resort. The 2024 weeks have not been reserved yet so if you are interested, I can lock in your preferred dates for 2024 now. Floating week owners may reserve weeks 1-25 & 36-52 for their home week reservation, based on availability up to one year in advance.

Carlsbad Seapointe is part of Grand Pacific Resorts and includes free membership in Grand Pacific Exchange (GPX), their internal exchange system. This is a tremendous system that provides several vacation opportunities. This unit trades well. We have used it to trade into resorts in Hawaii, Scottsdale, Napa Valley, and New Hampshire. You can reserve your week to stay at the resort, you can deposit your week to your account with RCI or II, you can deposit your week into GPX and take an exchange from their available inventory, or you can deposit into their Perks program which gives discounts for hotel, cruise, rental cars, or tours.

Please contact me if you have any questions,

Neil

Is this timeshare a specific unit size or points? If a unit size...how many bedrooms and is there a specific view?

Just to add: I used to own at this great resort. Unless things have changed, they offer Day Use for owners, if you happen to be in the area. The details above indicate this is a great deal for someone. Snatch it up while you can.

Can you clarify what you mean by ' first half MF' are billed in 2024?

Does this mean that EOY use year 2024, the MF are billed half in 2024 and half in 2025?

Dave, why don't you own it anymore?

I wanted to be able to have "short stays" at resorts, and a Weeks ownership didn't really allow that. We sold it when I bought WorldMark. Also, my brother lives in San Diego, and I was told if we came to visit, we had to stay at his house. So it was easy to pass it along to a Tugger who wanted it. He said he wanted it mainly for the Day Use at the resort because he lives in the area.

There is nothing wrong with that resort. And being part of Grand Pacific's internal exchange system, it's absolutely worth it, if it fits your portfolio.

Owners don't pay the daily resort fee, only exchangers.
