We arrived this afternoon with my son, dil, and 4 yr old grandson. When we left Estero, it was sunny and warm. As we drove down A1A, we were wondering why people were wearing jackets. Omg when we got out of the car, the cool wind was whipping around us. We have not gone on the beach or to the pool.
My son asked in the lobby and everyone said the free trolley was a fifteen minute ride, so we decided to explore the area. About a half mile away, we got off and let my grandson play in a park for half an hour. We returned to the trolley, and after about 45 minutes, we realized we were at least an hour from the timeshare. The trolley stopped at the farthest point, the driver got off, and disappeared in a place across the street. After about ten minutes, my son called up an Uber, we all got off, and got in the Uber car and had about a twenty minute ride back to Solara. The trolley was only half way through with the route, so we wouldn't have made it back til pretty late. That was quite an adventure, and the Uber was very reasonable. If we do some sightseeing we will do it in an Uber. My son has a code and if I use it, both of us will get a ride free. Also think I will pay for him to be taken to the airport tomorrow, and avoid the hassle.
Anyhow, I sure hope we have better weather tomorrow, our only full day here.
Last time I stayed here, we were on other side of building. This side is pretty close to a building to the north. We could clearly see the people directly across enjoying a late lunch. We had to laugh when the man of the house came out on the balcony in his skivvies to enjoy a smoke.
