Skiplagging -- didn't know there was a word for this

I have a friend who hates to have her feet touched. She has a criminal record. Why? She went into a manicure/pedicure shop for a manicure. The sign said "Manicure $15, Pedicure $15. Today's crazy special $10 for BOTH" So she said "I'll have the special and paid $10. When they finished the mani, she said "Never mind the pedi. I have to go." The shopkeeper screamed that she should have paid $15 if all she wanted was the mani, then called the cops, who arrested her because this is (LOL) "stealing".
LOL. YMMV!

Maybe the airlines drop those terms at some point but if they do does anyone really think lower fares could still be found by skiplagging? That “loophole” would be closed with higher fares the likely result.
Exactly. I think people really wouldn't like the result, because pretty much the only way to fix it is to price each individual flight and add those fares together for connecting flights. So instead of a somewhat cheaper fare A to C with a connection to C, you pay A to B + B to C, which will almost always be more expensive. Those who have no nonstop options for a particular route will be particularly hosed. Two or more connections? I don't even want to contemplate that one.

Hmm, I actually kind of surprised the airline put that much effort into investigating this at the airport. But i agree its against the rules. The airlines will often cancel your return flight, if you happen to have booked a round trip and then skip a leg of travel.
I wish the airlines would put this must effort into investigating lost/missing luggage. IMHO
