I didn't realize this and now I'm relieved because I made a II Getaway booking snafu (misjudged checkout date) and am now staying in Avon on my first night instead of Denver as originally planned. I got really sick when I went straight to Vail last year without staying a night in Denver.

Aspen is one of the few places I have not skied. I would expect the Ritz Carlton to be a tough trade.

The Sheraton Steamboat is not a difficult trade, particularly if you own another Vistana unit. Last visit I traded by small 1 bedroom SDO for a three bedroom at the Sheraton Steamboat in late January (prime ski week).
The Ritz Carlton properties do not exchange in either II or RCI; to stay there, you'd need to own there, find availability with Marriott Abound points (difficult during prime time), rent from an owner, or have access to exchange in via ThirdHome, which can be expensive plus most people on TUG do not have access to ThirdHome. Owning there is extremely expensive, especially considering that it is a fractional, so you're buying and paying MFs on multiple weeks, and the cost per week is not cheap due to the extremely high-end nature of those resorts.
