Singer trolls her cheating ex-boyfriend by turning his self-pitying apology text into a viral song - complete with 'sad violins' - and it's now racked up FOUR MILLION views on TikTok
  • Jax, a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California, dramatically read her ex's apology text while violinist Lindsey Stirling played sad music
  • Through-out the text, the unnamed guy admitted the he 'hooked up with her roommate, Emily,' but explained that 'it was a one time mistake'
  • He said he was failing his classes and recently got fired, so he asked Jax to 'show him some sympathy' and to 'stop making him feel like a villain'
  • The hilarious video has gone viral on TikTok, getting more than four million views since it was posted last week

Can he sue her for 50% of her profits as a co-writer credit for the song?

Sure it is funny but remember the song is about a real person. Seems a little too much bullying.

She's not identifying him by name and she has changed identifying details.

Right, because everyone in both their social circles have no idea who her boyfriend was. ;)

It's petty and vindictive to publicly read a private apology, even a thin one. Just my personal opinion.

Oh please. You think this was the first time a song was written based on a real-life break up? Are all of those other songs "bullying"? Get real.

Heck, half of Taylor Swift's songs are about her breakups. :ROFLMAO:

Does not make it right. Could be unintended consequences and then a funeral with lots of regret.

Yeah - just think of all the exes who wondered if they were so vain! :D

So the person who cheated in now the victim? How much mental damage could have happened by cheating. How many times has a cheating significant other caused depression and/or suicide attempts? Unintended consequences of only thinking of himself and his unit could have been just as bad. If you can’t handle the heat, don‘t cheat!

Central to the notion of having moral and ethical precepts is that they provide firm direction for our behavior and conduct. Our feelings and intuitions can deceive and lie, and in the moment we can come up with all manner of reason why something makes sense. But if you have moral and ethical foundations, that you truly believe in, you will hew to them even though it doesn't make sense, trusting that they will guide you through tempting situations.

But if you find yourself tempted to discard those precepts, then you should be brutally honest with your self and admit your need for some moral and behavioral accounting. Speaking personally, those times have helped me realize that I'm really not as moral and ethical as I want to believe I am. It has helped me be a far more tolerant person. And in areas where I recognize I'm falling short of the standards I wish to maintain, it reminds of where I need to seek forgiveness and find ways to improve my conduct and my thinking.

Well he will not have to worry about what to tell his family. They have p probably listened to the song.

Sorry I boinked your roommate delivered via text gets response it gets. Extra crap going on in his life does not justify cheating. Just piles on his extreme disrespect for her. “You got fired? Well then I totally understand bedding Emily”. Is that what he expected? That she should manufacture sympathy for him?

sounds like a super loser so glad she’s done. i think it’s clever to turn it into a song. Inspiration struck.

And she is beautiful.

I'd swipe left, though, knowing in advance what was going to happen the first time a private matter arose between us.
your choice but I doubt this was their first private matter. This was his cheating then sending a lame feel sorry for me text. The text was too ridiculous to not become a song. Probably if you aren’t a disrespectful glassbowl u don’t end up an embarrassing punchline. Anyone can post anything online so it’s not just songwriters that can make public the awful private behavior of another.

I was married to a songwriter. My influence appeared in very few songs. Might have been different had I slept with his best friend and blamed my firing and school failings.

All things considered -- that was a hilarious video!
