Silverleaf Contract Rescission Need Help!

Most of us here know what you mean but, JFTR, "recession", whose root word is "recede" usually means a dreaded downturn in the economy.

If you're looking for the noun form of "rescind", it's "rescission".

Thank you, I was typing quickly on my cell phone trying to help someone save 10+ thousand dollars so I was not checking too closely. But now we all know, and knowing is half the battle.

Just returned from the post office and returned everything, a contract rescission letter, the 32 page contract, and all materials even the satchel bag it came with back overnight priority express with certified mail and return receipt.

Once they recieve the letter and contract, read, and see all the materials returned back to them, I hope they see how serious i am about cancelling the contract and refund all fees. Thanks for all the help! Ill keep you all updated.

I got an Inquiry Hit on my Experian credit file from the application process. They never told me they were going to run my credit. They just said autopayments from a debit card.

Can that inquiry be removed from my credit record so that it will not affect my credit rating?

I am not sure if it will affect your credit rating or not, but it's highly unlikely that you can remove a credit inquiry from your credit record.

Just be prepared to explain if it should ever become an issue…..

Referring to the bolded statement above, I have read of others who have had the automatic debit payment set-up that they continue to get charged in spite of backing out of a deal. Doubt this will happen to you, but I'd closely watch your bank records for a month or two.

So i mailed everything back and then got a call back from the resort. I avoided their calls for a few days but finally called back when one of the voicemails mentioned the call was to confirm a refund

I called back and long story short, they notified me that the contract had been cancelled and that a refund would be issued within 30 days. Thanks for all the help!

Love a story with a happy ending!

...but finally called back when one of the voicemails mentioned the call was to confirm a refund

I called back and...

Wow! That was scary for a minute.

Anyway, I'm glad things worked out for you and I wish you the best in your efforts to find out what you feel would be best for you and not what some salesperson tells you what's best for your travel preferences and lifestyle.
