Go back to the list of forums that includes this "Exchanging" forum. You'll find the "Sightings/Distressed" forum down near the bottom of the list (under "Private Forums").

Where are you looking?
Because you are recognized by the system as a "TUG Member", the Sightings forum will show up when you look near the bottom of the list of forums. If you are looking somewhere else (such as for example, the link for "Private Messages"), you are looking in the wrong place.
Click on the link for "TUG BBS Home" at the top left of this page (just to the right of the big-print "TUG BBS"). Then scroll almost all the way to the bottom of that page.
No password is needed.
