Not sure what to do should we sell or give back????
Sorry for the long post.
We currently own 3 timeshares with Wyndham see below and can no longer use all these points each year. I've pooled them in the last couple of years, thinking we may use them. Only problem is that our needs have changed and we have not been able to use all the points. For the three our monthly cost is $155.80 or 1869.60 a year.
Would it make sense to list them in the for sale area?
I know that there are closing costs involved $299 to Wyndham and the fees to Escrow Company I think about $300.
Not even sure what to ask for each one.
Any thoughts as to the Value of Each??
We bought them through Resale! Yea!
I'm not going to pay someone to take them off my hands, so I'm not going to pay Escrow fees or transfer fees for the buyer. That as a minimum would be on them.
I see that Wyndham is now taking back properties at no cost to the owner. You also don't get anything for them, just we don't have to pay monthly maintenance fees.
I would prefer to try and get some of what we paid back if possible. If not and there is value to another member, I would prefer that they get those points for a small cost (Transfer and Escrow fees) rather than Wyndham getting them back for free and then turning around and selling at full Retail to another owner.
Let me know your thoughts!!!
Thanks Joe
