Sheraton Vistana Resort Orlando

A few questions:

There is a listing on eBay that looks good for my needs, but I'm trying to figure out if it's a good deal or not.....it's at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, is RCI Points (54,000) and annual. The point value definitely works for our needs since we do not generally travel to Orlando in "prime time".

The listing says it's in the Spas section....when I looked up the resort, their website only has two sections - Cascade Villas or Lake Villas.....is the Spas section within one of those two, or another section?

Also, I think I read somewhere on this forum that one of the areas in the Vistana resort is going to have a special assesment in 2009 - is that true? If it is, which section is that and how much is the special assesment I'd need to budget for?

The listing also has a fixed week in the listing, but it's RCI Points - I'm still a bit confused on the points/weeks particulars......can I use that week specifically, just call and make my reservation on that week, or do I have to book it with points through RCI?

Lastly - what are your thoughts on the resort.....how would you rate it compared to other resorts in the area?

Spas is it's own section (not Lakes or Cascades). It is a separate building. YES, it will have a special assessment in 2009 and 2010 and I think the total will be about $1500 broken into 2-3 payments.

The Falls section is getting the special assessment in 2008 and 2009. 2008 fees have already been paid so perhaps it's a better deal to buy in that section.

All the sections are being upgraded and will look fantastic in the end. SOrry I can't help you with RCI.

Spas section is the third phase built at this resort. They are a good size and I think that you would enjoy the villa if you used it.

After the remodel, I am sure you will be pleased. They are quite a bit older than the phases that you mentioned but as you say, if you are purchasing for RCI points it may not matter.
