Probably does not matter to a lot of you. For those of you who bought Sheraton Flex, there is now an hawaii resort.

Here is the email I received.
Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort has been added to the Sheraton Flex vacation program, giving you even more travel flexibility. Beginning with the 2020 Use Year, you’ll be able to use your Home Options to reserve stays as early as 12 months before your planned arrival* in your Home Resort Reservation Period.

Now you can choose from nine distinctive home resorts in seven sought-after destinations:

Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort
Sheraton Mountain Vista
Sheraton Lakeside Terrace Villas at Mountain Vista
Sheraton Vistana Resort
Sheraton Vistana Villages
Sheraton Broadway Plantation
Sheraton Desert Oasis
Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas
Vistana Beach Club

To me this was a surprise since i thought all the hawaii products would be with the Westin Flex

I love this quote: "Beginning with the 2020 Use Year, you’ll be able to use your Home Options to reserve stays as early as 12 months before your planned arrival* in your Home Resort Reservation Period."

If that were true then one would have needed to make the reservations during 2019.

this is certainly good news for the existing SF owners. I am curious if the contracts currently on the market will go up a little bit or not. Of the 3 Flex products (Aventuras, Westin and Sheraton), Sheraton is the only one that can be found easily resale.

SFlex is the oldest one so we're now starting to see former owners wanting to move on but this addition is good as it will give access to Hawaii - even for resale buyers.

The big question for me down the road is whether WSJ will eventually end up in Westin Aventuras or in Westin Flex?

Westin makes most legal logical sense as it is a US product / location.

You don't need a passport to go to WSJ. You do for Aventureas products.

Interesting...I was just in Kauai and they thought it would still be a year or two before it was added.

it just shows how much they know

Amazed that something we were told at the owner’s update actually happened! Granted since we have a small plan we will have to bank, but I’m just excited to have a new option that’s not Florida or a ski resort (we don’t ski).

That's great. I think Sheraton Kauai must have been added because it's gotten very negative feedback. We stayed there 8 months ago and are going again this month. The redo is hotel room conversion, so it's very small, but very well kitted out. We really like the property and the area, but if you are expecting anything like the other resorts, you'll be very disappointed.
