Hello - I've come across a listing for a 1 bedroom SDO unit, EOY. It's listed as unit 2096 with MFs of $475. Any idea if this is the larger one bedroom or the smaller one with the kitchenette? Not sure if there's a way for me to research using the unit number or not... Any help would be appreciated!
Should you move forward and purchase, get an estoppel ("Resale Information Sheet") from Vistana during the course of escrow; it will show you the unit size for certain (as well as status of MF's paid, verification of season, etc.).
I debated bidding on that auction. It looks like a "true plat" but not sure if it's worth it given it's a 1BR EOY. Also, given the season and timing, I was a little worried about the fact that it might not close before (or would close just before) week 21. I asked the broker if they would reserve a week in advance and they said they don't do that.
Looks like it's the smaller 1BR: $475 - SVN_fee - EOY_fee = about $300. Twice (because this is biennial) of $300+ = MF of the B_side 1BR. (A_side 1BR MF is $800+ yearly. I know because I own one.)
Note: when adding the MFs of A_side and B_side SDO 1BRs, that sum will be greater than the MF of the whole 2BR. A glitch that favors owning a 2BR in SDO.

Get a 2 bedroom. They are all lockoff units and gives you two weeks of vacation per year. We have an EOY, just because I wanted to try and get Baseball Spring Training week, but it's been tough to get anything that week because we do not own platinum.. I would buy plat, if I did it again, so that is my advice. There are unit #'s and week #'s specifically that are platinum, but you have to know what you are buying. I think the ebay sellers are very unaware of what they are selling so buyer beware.
I have two Gold Plus Units and one Platinum EOYE. So easy to get good weeks with the Platinum. Easy to rent out if you are not otherwise using the week that year, and as is widely known on the forum, is a great trader.
Even on a EOY you have to pay II fees every year right? True platinum weeks are hard to come by, so it could be worth it for someone who's already paying for II.
