Hello,

I usually trade on Interval but decided to drop this week at the Sheraton on RCI. I was hoping I could possibly get one of the Disney or Hilton resorts in Orlando for the February break 2016. Do you think there is any possibility or no chance? Thanks for advice.

Probably no chance you'll have enough TPUs. You probably got somewhere around 25 or so, and DVC will take around 40 for a 1 bedroom.

Honestly, you're too late for Hilton and Disney deposits for February 2016, unless there's a last minute deposit.

I have been wondering doing the same but interested in getting a summer bay house or a bonnet creek or hgvc. Would I get enough tpus to achieve that?
I too would deposit a sbp one bdrm. My prefer time would be summer regardless of the year.

I think you will be a tad under for most of the trades into a 2 br or 3 br for summer. You would probably get 25 tpu's but need 27-32 unless you were relying on last minute discounted availability. There might be a few stray units in the 23-26 range but looking at summer 2016 and 17 currently most weeks are a little higher.

So Starwood deposited the week in RCI. They gave me October. I received 30 TPUs for it. I just searched and there was nothing that interest me. Very little for Feb break. Do you think it is worth making a request? So Disney is out. I would like either a Hilton, Orange Lake or Bonnet Creek.

Putting in a request is the BEST way to get an exchange.

Requests are filled BEFORE a deposit goes online. When you only search online, you are only seeing the leftovers - after the ongoing requests have been filled.

However, it is really, really late to be searching for a school holiday. Ideally, you should put in the request a year in advance. School holidays have the highest demand for exchanges.

The only reason there is so little for February is that you are very late to start looking for February. Hilton bulk deposits quite early often 6-10 months in advance and the sit for a while because its Orlando but by now they are all gone. The may have a few more sporatic deposits. You probably missed the Bonnet Creek deposits as well although they too might deposit a few more. Orange Lake does developer deposits but their are also a lot of fixed week owners so they may still be coming in as well. 30 should be enough as long as their are deposits for the dates you want.

You probably won't have enough tpu's for DVC. Some do come in at less but most DVC are in the 36-42 tpu range.
