Has any Gold week owners here been able to upgrade to a Platnium summer week for the $25 / day charge. Is it realalistic to do this?

did starwood say you can do that? it seems worth it if you have no other staroptions to add to the week.

Is this a special rule only for Sheraton Broadway Plantation owners? Usually, to reserve a week in another season besides the one you own, you have to make a Staroption exchange at 8 mos. out and it will require more Staroptions for a Plat week than a Gold week. There is a link to the Staroption charts in the Owner Resources sticky at the top of the page.

Yes, this is a special rule for Broadway Plantation. Silver owners can upgrade to Gold for $25/day (but it would probably be cheaper to trade through II if you're already a member). Gold members can upgrade to Platinum for $25/day. This is only available at the 2-month mark, when all the bright red summer weeks are long gone (unless you luck into a cancellation). Platinum and Gold owners can also "downgrade" seasons for no charge (also at the 2-month mark).

There's also the ability to split a week into a 3-day and 4-day reservation (one week only) at the 12-month mark (holidays are blocked).

Not a standard Starwood CCR (it's from the Embassy days).
