Shearwater questions: reservations and MFs

1) How do reservations work? Do you email 14 months in advance and are then confirmed 12 months in advance? DO you make room requests at the same time of the reservation request?

2) when do maintanence fees come due? My next use year is 2009 (I own EOY), with an EOY will I be paying 1/2 the dues each year or full dues end of 2008 for 2009 use year? Are dues payable at time of reservation (i.e. I reserve 2/1/2009 on 2/1/2008, but dues for 2009 are not payable until Dec. 2008?)

Hi,

We also own an EOY week at Shearwater. This is how we do it.
We send a reservation request via email 14 months in advance along with several unit requests. They "usually" send a response stating they have received the reservation request and will confirm it 12 months in advance. Then we receive a letter in the mail confirming our reservation which also shows the unit number. Sometimes I receive an email from them first before receiving the snail mail letter.

As for paying maintenance fees:

We'll receive a bill in Nov. prior to our use year. You have the option of paying the full balance at that time or use their two payment option plan for an additional $20 fee.

Two Payment Option Plan: The first half is due within 30 days of the initial invoice date. The second half is due within 90 days of the invoice date. They do not send a second invoice, so make sure you remind yourself if you choose to pay it this route.
