While we were enjoying shave ice at Jo Jo's in Waimea, we noticed that Hawaiian Blizzard came in 2nd as the best on Kauai. We tried it today and thought it waa even better than Jo Jo's! http://hawaiianblizzard.com/

Kapaa right outside Big Save.
There are 2 jo jo in Kauai. The original owner opens another shave ice just on the side of the road. We tried both... It was GOOD and BIG...

Gotta admit I love the shave ice "downstairs" at Brennecke's......just so darn convenient when you're over at Poipu. Fun flavors, too!

Though we love Jojo's Anuenue, nothing beats WISHING WELL in Hanalei! Order a Hanalei Sunrise with snowcap and vanilla ice cream - yum!
We returned to Hawaiian Blizzard today, since we are leaving Kauai tomorrow. Still yummy and no extra charge for multiple flavors and/or cream on top. The owner, Aaron, told us he has been in business over 25 years and actually sold equipment to the original Jo Jo's in Waimea. That business is now on a side street in Waimea, and not the one we went to. We went to the shop that sells the Jo Jo's Red Dirt shirts. We'll have to try Wishing Well next year!
