So just out of curiosity, how many folks have received a call from SFX pitching their diamond membership? Just received a high pressure call from a sales rep that wanted to sell me a life time membership (good for 35 years) for $2,000. Apparently they were also offering a 7 Day Cruise that needed to be used in two years, and a 7 Day resort stay that needed to be used in a year (not from the resorts on SFX). In addition they offered 50,000 non expiring platinum reward points....but "this offer is only good today, and wont be offered again" blah blah blah. I told her to take a hike. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

Yes, I've been getting these calls, too. Used to be I.C.E. -- now "SFX Diamond." Very high pressure and really annoying. I'm not biting.

I'm so glad I saw this post. I was going to post a similar call I keep getting from SFX. I keep getting a call from someone at SFX wanting to set-up my account. She keeps refering to the resort I depostied with them as if I owned there. I am a Worldmark member and do not own at any specific resort but this saleswoman keeps leaving me messages about wanting to fully ativate my account.

I am a diamond member and have my account set-up enough to have a few on-going searches with SFX and one time I made an inquiry about exchanging for a cruise (kind of a joke, but I didn't know that at the time).

Anyway, the only call I want to take from SFX is when they have a match for one of my ongoing requests. The latest message I got was from the same woman who called me before. She wants to discuss my two bonus weeks? What could there possibly be to discuss? I'm not using those bonus weeks and have no intention to.

If this is a high pressure sales call, which I suspect it is, I thought SFX was better than that. I'm a bit disapointed with SFX right now, and I had such good things to post about them on this site only a couple months ago.

Maybe move to the public forum

Could one of the mods maybe move this to the public forum? I dont know why I posted in the members only forum. This is probably good info for everyone to see.

Actually this is not coming directly from SFX. This is a 3rd party product sold by SFX and others, i.e. VRI. It used to be called Platinum Rewards. I haven't received anything from them for several months.

Yeah, every so often we see these types of posts. I agree with John. It's not SFX, it's one of their business partners. I'm sure if you send a note to Mark, as suggested above, he will take some action.

I called back and got the speal

When I signed up for SFX about 3 or 4 mos ago I made note that the travel program was simply overkill for us and I didn't really need it.

I got a phone call right away offering a lifetime membership in SFX, I thought, but now looking back I think it was this travel prgm. Cause just last week my wife got the call and then another message and since I am the one to handle the TS stuff, I decided to call her back.

They wanted $2k for a life-time membership. What a joke. She threatened that it was a $300 cost annually and to that I said, I'm out. I'll see what happens upon renewal in about 8 mos.

Anyone else getting these calls from an SFX affiliate?

Hiya,

yes I just got a call yesterday (from sfx)... I was looking for info, glad I found a few posts here... I thought it was kind of interesting, I ran out of time so I didn't get the bottom line $$$ She said she was going to send an email.... didn't get that yet...
From what I heard it sounded sorta ok, but I am using RCI points and have enough TS weeks (thanks to this board ad finding info on resale!) I think I am ok in RCI points... not sure i need to spend any more $$$ to be able to exchange my weeks/ points...

Ok what about that 7 days cruise?? will that not pay for the membership ??? that IS interesting... of course what are the availabilities restrictions etc???
(wifey want a family cruise next summer, I want a week in SXM)

I have some interest but some more hesitation.... I tried SFX one time and wasn't able to find a resort... (wanted Aruba) they did find me La Cabana in Aruba, but I read some issues so passed and traded with RCI points to Divi beach & golf and loved it!!!(planning to go back 2012) I did eventually take a trade and give it to my parents...

My understanding is that SFX is good in western USA and Mexico.... but I live in Toronto, so south eastern & Fla is more for me....

Anyways... will like to follow this thread, so if anyone has more info good or bad I will be looking into it...

thanks,

Paul

SFX is good in many other areas, like New York City, Hawaii, Canada, and several other locations.
