Can anyone recommend a transfer agent / title company for sale of timeshare?

Hello -- I am trying to sell my father's timeshare which is now part of his estate (I am the executrix). I listed the TS on sellmytimesharenow.com about a year ago and have not been able to sell it. However, I have received about 20 inquiries and have gone back and forth with each potential buyer but was not able to come to an agreement. I MUST get rid of the TS before I can close the estate so I am planning on going back to each of them with a new price of $1 plus I will pay $100 towards closing costs. I am looking for a company / attorney, etc. to handle the closing. The resort is in the USVI. sellmytimeshare.com uses Chicago Title but I am looking for other recommendations. Thanks.

Hello -- Does anyone have any experience with this topic? My father owned a timeshare in the USVI and he passed away last year. I am the executrix of the estate and have been trying to find someone to help me with the sale of the timeshare (wishful thinking I know, I have not been able to find a buyer) but I contacted a few places recommended on here, including Tom Bolt and have been told that I will need to do an ancillary probate of the property in the USVI. HELP! Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I have asked Tom to help me with this but I would love to hear from anyone else who has had experience with this nightmarish problem. Thanks!

Is this the Westin St. John?

I would highly recommend James Casner to you. Several resorts use his serivces on the island and he is a USVI attorney. He can tell you what you need to do, an ancillary probate would sound correct. He can also assist with the closing process if and when you find a buyer.

I believe his firms website is www.vilawyers.com
