My wifes boss has 2 timeshares at one of the newer and better timeshares in Puerto Vallarta.

He is now in a situation where he needs to sell them. They are prime winter weeks and 2 bedroom units. I have helped him get out of a couple other units but am struggling a little bit with trying to sell Mexico. There was a recent sell of this property on ebay for a midseason week for $3300. My problem is I cant find a lot of listings for this property as they are still actively selling. there are a couple of tug and myresortnetwork listings over $10000 but I dont think that is anywhere close to a true selling price.

Can anyone make any more sugestions as to where I might find more compareable listings and also any brokers who specialize in Mexico.

Do you think the "true" selling price will be over or under $10,000? Tell him to expect about 40-50% of what he paid if it's a new resort still in active sales. I would not use a broker unless it was one who charges NO upfront fees. And do NOT use a broker in MX. Try an ebay listing, with a reasonable reserve, and see what kind of bids you get.

Check bidshares.com

We were turned on to this site yesterday. It may help or not. There are alot of ts for sale and rent there.

I believe it is under $10000 - Probably around $4500-$8000 but I can not find ebay history or actual comps anywhee else

Bidhshares.com

This is a free site and so some of the values are very inflated in my opinion.
If you go to redweek or myresort network where people have to pay to advertise they seem a little closer to the mark.

See this TUG list of reliable resale sites for some other places to look for current listings. Pick the low end of all of the current listings you find and you'll probably be about right for an asking price, even though your actual selling price might be lower.
