Hi - newbie here. Twice in the past three months I've fielded calls from someone asking me to sell my Interval Getaway weeks (at whatever the cost to me is - $200 or $300 I think), and my weeks would be sold to others (like potential timeshare owners) for profit. Anyone gotten these calls and taken advantage of them?

Sounds like a sure way to get your Interval account closed... :)

And be scammed at the same time as getting your II account suspended. I would run far away and stop talking to those scammers.

Great3

It's a known scam that has been going around for at least 10 years.

100% scam. They don't want the getaways or to rent anything. Their goal is to get the upfront money and stop replying to emails and phone calls.

Last week when they called the woman on the phone grew very angry with me when I persisted that this was a scam...yelled at me gosh.

Got it. Will continue with my "no thanks" response. Appreciate the support -

It sounds like they offered to pay the OP.

So how do they get upfront money?

There will be an upfront fee involved to "sign up". We see it in every one of these situations.

Why don’t these people ever call me?! I would have so much fun with them

That is the Red Light. Stop!!!! That upfront fee means. This is a scam.
Please listen to dioxide45, this is a scam.

This is a SCAM.

Algorithm:
Does it sound to good to be true?
If Yes, Then Scam

Never ever give someone money upfront to sell or rent your Timeshare or Points or Exchanges
