Following up from my March ebay purchase of Sheraton Vistana Villages from Sean.
The deed was different than what he listed, but it ended up being an honest mistake on his behalf. He didn't have all the information and Vistana staroptions are a bit confusing. He ended up giving me a pretty big discount if I wanted to proceed with the purchase, or I could just drop it altogether. I proceeded and bought the 2BR for 81,000 staroptions for close to nothing. I would buy from Sean again.
The closing with their transfer company went pretty quickly but I had to follow up a few times.

What I've learned through this and another similar ebay purchase is:
-some high volume sellers like seans0302, timeshare discounts, the timeshare group, etc. auction a lot of timeshares and sometimes get their details wrong. (Make sure you look for a seller with high amount of positive ratings, like over 500)
-upon winning a bid, ask for a copy of the deed and the estoppel to verify all the details yourself (which means you have to really understand the timeshare system and what you are purchasing. DO NOT PAY until you get this info and verify with the seller.
-if the details are wrong, you can simply cancel the purchase. the sellers realize they made a mistake are fine with you cancelling. they will usually correct their listing and relist
-if you still want the timeshare, it is open to renegotiation
-send follow-up emails frequently to keep the process moving along, and be straightforward but courteous. Angry emails don't work well with a volume seller. They just want to sell the timeshare quickly, hassle free and move on.

I just had bad experienced with Sean and the closing company . I bought 3 timeshares from eBay in the past , zero issue . I won an auction from eBay from Sean for Ocean 22. After 3 months the title company keep saying waiting for resort transfer. I emailed Sean , if we don’t get this deal done in two weeks. I will cancel this deal. I asked for estoppel, he sent me Anderson property not Ocean 22. Title company contacted me and informed that they not sure why my paper still not submit for ROFR. I asked Sean to cancel the sale and I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I bought other Timshare a month before Sean deal , I closed that one and booked my trip 2020. I read all the posted here , he made same mistake . This is nit small mistake . You are buying BMW , you got Toyota. I don’t think this is honest mistake.

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to add my experience in case anyone searches for him on this forum. I bought a 210,000 EOY Club Wyndham Bali Hai Contract from Seans0302 at the end of February. He uses Global Resort Transfer for escrow. I had read mixed things about them, but everything went smoothly and they were very responsive to emails asking for updates (and they even had an online system where they give you a login and you can check their progress). They had the deed recorded and sent to Wyndham by the end of March, and Wyndham completed the transfer in early July (the wait was entirely Wyndham’s fault from what I can tell, they’re taking at least 12 weeks to complete transfers right now). I would definitely buy from him again and wouldn’t be afraid to use Global Resort Transfer again. My escrow agent at Global Resort Transfers was Karen King, she always got back to my emails within a day.

The other nice thing about Seans is that he is one of the few sellers on ebay who doesn’t charge any closing costs, all you pay is the winning bid. In my experience Ebay bidders tend to undervalue the no closing cost auctions and overvalue the auctions with very high closing costs (ie: tochoa).

Sean has a good 11,200 point contract at HGVC Hilton Blvd. $1275 maintenance fees year. It closes on Wednesday morning. I am interested but I would like to visit this property first before buying. It is at $4k currently. Will be interested in seeing how much it goes for.

These LV deeds sell for a premium not because of the actual resort but because of the low maintenance fees. If it were me I wouldn’t be concerned about visiting the property before placing a bid. I think that the maintenance fee is also over stated. According to the 2024 HGVC MF thread, a two bedroom Boulevard has a MF of $1059.

Seans has been around a long time. He is the only saved seller I have on eBay. I won one of his auctions back in 2012 but backed out when it was determined to be a one bedroom instead of the advertised two bedroom. No issue with Sean as he apologized for the error. Apparently, he was as surprised as I was.

For what it is worth, I stayed at the Boulevard ten years ago. It is a very nice resort with a fantastic super pool.
