If you are staying at a resort on Sea Pines at Hilton Head, do you have to pay the entrance fee every time you leave & come back to S.P.? Is the entrance fee waived while you are staying at Sea Pines? Thanks for any info.

Marriott Monarch in Sea Pines - you have to pay the first time you enter Sea Pines to check in, then they give you a pass for the rest of the week.

You will get a Sea Pines pass that allows gate entry and parking at the beach.

I thought there was a welcome center just outside of SeaPines Plantation where registration takes place and you get your entry passes without having to pay the $5 SeaPines entrance fee for the initial check-in at your resort.

Perhaps I'm mistaken?

Marriott closed down the Welcome Center about a year ago and now you register at your resort or at least you do for Monarch, I think the others are the same. I think that was a cost cutting measure by Marriott.
