SDO 2/2 PLATINUM - EOY a Good Deal

Yes it would have a higher trading power than the 1-52 units which are blended. I would make sure you see an estoppel on this one.

I thought some of us did a test a few years ago plotting 1-52 against platinum for trading power. I don't think we found a considerable difference.

You probably picked up a lot of competitors by posting the auction here! ;)

I seem to remember that same thing.

I was under the impression that the primary benefit of buying a platinum unit was the ability to requalify it to get staroptions (I hope that is the correct terminology).

Trade tests showed some differences in pulling Harborside. 2BR EOY platinum is not sought after for retro, only the 2br every year platinum is.

Everyone, thank you so very much for this information… I have decided NOT to bid, so if anyone wants to grab it, feel free… I just wanted to see if I bought this one if it would make a difference in my trading power vs the one I own that is a 1-52 float EOY…

Once again you guys rock and I appreciate the help

It should have slightly better trading power on more difficult exchanges.

Which week have better chances of trading Arizona properties for others? Phoenix open week? Spring break?

By which week, do you mean which resort?

The BEST traders are probably the really expensive resorts - but it's not cost effective to use an expensive resort for a trader.

Usually, SDO and SBP - high season, are recommended for traders, because of their low maintenance fees.

No, like I really don't know how the trading work in II, but I understand that SDO is not a mandatory resort, but have a good trading power compared To SVV and is a driveable(Barely) distance from me. So do you normally reserve a week and put it into II for an exchange?

No - Starwood does not permit you to choose a week and deposit it. You get a deposit credit, which is the average trading power of the season you own.

So a high season deposit has higher trading power, than a low season deposit.

Great info! I'm learning so much here. Thanks Denise.

Have you had a chance to read the Starwood and II sticky at the top of the forum?

It is the 5th sticky down at the top of the main Starwood forum page.
