HSN today's special just under $200. I'm going to try it because I can get an extra year warranty and use flex pay.

great price - stock up on cleaning fluid

I paid more, but love it for cleaning the kitchen and big bath. (Not worth it for the powder and 3/4 baths). But I haven't found the fluid at target, home depot, etc. Will have to order on-line.

I think Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens 'n Things may carry it. I have about a million coupons for both.

I am going to try vinegar and water which I think I read about here on the bbs...........

I just bought some of the fluid at Linens 'n Things where I bought my Scooba a couple of weeks ago. I just love that little gadget and it's doing a great job on my tile floors. I tried the vinegar and water, but it didn't do as good a job as the special Clorox fluid did, plus it didn't smell as nice either!

It's a robot floor cleaner. Read about it here. It's like the robot vacuum cleaner for rugs called a Roomba. It uses water and cleaning solution to clean tile or wood floors and I love mine!

Thanks, Karen, I appreciate the info. I can't wait for Scooba to arrive now. I can't believe that I almost missed the TS on HSN because I fell asleep.....

I've been looking at these for about a month after seeing the discussions on them and ended up purchasing one from HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER & COMPANY for $299 on-line...mainly because it has an unconditional lifetime warranty through them. Given it's an electronic mechanical device I'm certain it will break sometime and the warranty essentially makes the deal for me.

fyi...

I just saw the Scooba in the Linens n Things flyer with a sale price of $249.99 and there's a 20% off coupon off any single item that brings it down to $199.99.

I've had my scooba for 1 year - i love it! Even better is my roomba - I put it in the kids rooms and close the door. When I get back, it's done! Whoo hoo! Doesn't work on my shag carpet though.

Woot has Scooba today (black Fridat) for $99.99. It is rebuilt though if that is a deterrent to some. I paid almost $300 for mine but I love it.

Today's Woot (11/23): Scooba $99 + $5 shipping. Remanufactured, but with factory warranty. Snap them up before they're all gone. -ken www.woot.com

Wow at that price, I could buy three and have my own closet internal warranty. (Throw away the bad one, open up another from the closet).

I snagged one this morning...probably will be a Christmas Gift!

Thanks.

How well does it get to hard-to-reach places, like behind and around the toilet? Also, will it suck up the small hairs that seem to get everywhere in the bathroom (including on the floor) or just move them around? (I swear my dear Hubby sheds.)

bigger than a frisbee

It is maybe 12-15 inches in diameter so it can't go in spaces smaller than that and it is round so it doesn't reach the very corner. But it easlily goes under the toe kick on my cabinets. So when I wash the toilet, I still have to wash behind it. And when I clean the shoe molding, I have to catch the very corners of the floor. It does get the hair, toe nail clippings, etc. I still think it's great and the floor gets cleaned more often than before!

I have a roomba also but I still vacuum the stairs and for deep cleaning. The scooba means I almost never have to sweep or mop the kitchen!

Alright, I missed the boat on this one. By the time I went online Friday to get one, they were sold out. I think I would like one (but not for $250-300) so if anyone sees another deal like this, please PM me or post on this forum.

Thanks!!

Check out e-Bay...that's where I bought my new one for a decent price.

How is your Scooba doing? At 1st, it sounded good to me to buy at Woot or L-N-T... but I don't want to deal with customer service when/if it is no longer working... Now I am thinking about getting it at HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER & COMPANY...Do they really stand by their lifetime warranty? Any thoughts?

My Scooba is doing fine so far. I think UW Surfer had a good idea buying through HS for the life time warranty.
