Scheduled for more surgery

Sorry to hear this. I hope the insurance issue is resolved quickly. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Speedy recovery.
 
Oh my - hope the insurance are resolved and you are able to get done what you need. Prayers and positive thoughts to get this behind you.

To the OP, have you looked into Proton Therapy? If it is available in your area, please look into it. Suggestion Only.

doctor did drastic removal, i am on a a feeding tube for a week. He feels he has it all and this time it won’t come back.

took a lot of calls, about 17 to 20, to find an ent to do biopsy. He looked and said cancer was obvious. He found me a head and neck oncologist surgeon. So I canceled surgery in Wisconsin and am having it here. My son’s family just arrived so he can take me for surgery and I will stay one or two nights in hospital. Much easier for him to fly to fort Myers area instead of Wisconsin dells. Not as long a drive to hospital either. Get to recuperate in warm weather. Need prayers that this time it doesn’t return.

The plan is to send me home with the feeding tube in my nose. I am to crush my meds and send down the feeding tube, and to pour my nutrition in four times a day, and flush in between. See doctor in five days to see if healed well enough to be able to go to a liquid diet. Rather nervous about this plan.

Do you have one of your children or friends who can check on you a few times a day?
 
Wishing you a safe and easy recovery, feeding tube sounds awful, hope it’s temporary?
 
Sending good thoughts. I second the idea of someone staying with you, or at least checking in with you as you recover.
 
I have been too busy with deadlines. I am sorry you are going through this ordeal. Sending healing thoughts and prayers. Stay strong. I hope your family can stay with you and assist you with the medications and liquid nutrition.
