Hey everyone! I've been given the offer to take over ownership of a timeshare for Sapphire Resorts. Here are the details:

Transfer Costs: $150
Points: 33,000 per year
Maintenance: ~$750/year

Based on what I've seen, this is significantly more points and a lower maintenance fee than what others have mentioned (they're usually around 20k/biannual and $550ish fees). What I'm curious about though is how many points these timeshares realistically cost as I've only seen a few ballpark numbers listed on here ~5 years ago.

Can someone who has Sapphire Resorts give me screenshots or some examples of what the rates look like now? I'm specifically looking for anything in the southwest (California preferred) that has 2 bedrooms.

The fees may appear to be low but you can't ever get out of the timeshare unless you are willing to eat any and every thing you put into it. I owned with my daughter for a year and when my daughter dies I asked for my money back and they said no. I asked for a partial refund they said no. They said they would waive the 2000 dollar normal fee they charge top get out of the contract. Mind you my wife and I had taken 1 trip with them and it was the complimentary trip they give you when you sign up for almost 10K with them. This is how they treat you so be very very careful, they only want your money and don't care anything about you the person!
