We own a one bedroom deluxe at Villas De Santa Fe - floating, but can obtain any week at the resort, and frankly, I'm going to tell you the truth, trading with RCI sucks! And there was a definite change around 2002, because before that it traded well. I got Bay Club Hawaii with the unit in 2002, but after that - no more great trades.
Santa Fe pulls about as well as our studio Marriott Birch in Vail, in RCI, and neither are good RCI traders.
I don't fully understand why RCI gives Santa Fe such lousy trading power, when it is very hard to trade into it. I couldn't even pull Santa Fe with Santa Fe in some tests I did. l I will never deposit the unit into RCI again --maybe this is part of the reason no one can find Santa Fe units - owners won't deposit into RCI, many of them use the units theirselves, or they are part of Club Sunterra which trades through II. By the way, II refuses to take our weeks unit in Santa Fe because it's not part of Club Sunterra.
I haven't tried depositing into SFX, so don't know about how well it would trade there. Generally, I have disappointed with what SFX has to offer, so I'm not sure I want to deposit it there.
The best bet with Santa Fe, in my opinion, is to either use it yourself, for private trades or for rental; I have had quite a few offers for private trades with our Santa Fe unit.
