Here is her website www.bahamastreasures.com/fergiestaxi. We used her the summer of 2009. She is fantastic. She comes highly recommended on tripadvisor. Call her in advance. She gets quite busy. We will be using her again in 2011. I can't wait to get back to Atlantis!

FYI...We used her service last August and was very disappointed. Especially since fellow tuggers gave her service such high marks. They were late at the airport and the resort. The resort pick-up was 30 minutes late to the airport, not acceptable to us. For us, they were no better then the regular taxis.

We found a new service in May. Warren is the owner/driver and has a Cadillac Escalade. He is very prompt and a very out going personality. We used him several times on that trip and he was there before his scheduled pick-up time.

Thanks Tom, We had to cancel with Sandy.Had to change flights.Jumping in the first cab available .

Got stood up...

I also tried to use Sandy for my ride to and from the airport. Our flight changed and I did not have a cell phone number so I could not warn her that I did not need her for initial pick up. Didn't get email for several days, due to the charge at Harborside, and when I did get on there was a terse email saying, "I WAITED for you, where were you?" I apologized profusely (although I had requested her cell number several times and she ignored my email requests for it) and said we really would like to use your services since Tuggers sang her praises. She did then email me her cell number. Ok, so I tried twice to get her to give us a ride during the week, and I feel she never felt it was worth driving over to get us. I did set up a ride back to the airport, confirmed it by email and cell phone, twice, and she stood us up! Tried to call her cell phone when she was 20 minutes late, no answer. By now my husband and I are pretty desperate to get a cab. Finally got through to her, we had obviously awakened her, and she was not even sorry! Was so glad to see this post, as I was reluctant to mention anything before, since she was so well regarded!:mad:
 
Wow, we had great experiences with Sandra, this thread is a real surprise. I suppose everyone has good days and bad... It's great that there is another recommended option. I know I'm heading back to Harborside later this year and intend on hiring Sandra.

I agree....but we got bit twice on the same trip, the first time.

After reading some of the reviews from others, we were very excited to use her. And our expectations were high, especially after Westin5star's glowing trip report.

Considering I went out of my way to setup up her transportation service, I expected a better vehicle (it wasn't), exceptional service (no better then a regular taxi) and most of all, on time.
 
So-so

I used Sandra when I visited Harborside last winter.
A guy (not Sandra, but he said he worked for her) came to the airport to pick us up, then he asked a different rate ($10 more expensive) than Sandra told me on e-mail.
Anyway, I planned to give him a tip (Sandra's price + tip), so I gave him the amount he wanted with no tip added.
When I went to airport from Harborside, Sandra came and she was nice.
I didn't get special impression on her service, I would like to use the cab tomandrobin mentioned this time (I am going to Harborside on July 24th!).
 
Sounds like things have changed recently for Sandra. I hope she gets back in the game. We used her for our extended family trip last fall, and i believe she had a total of seven or eight trips for us. She sent someone else who works for her to pick some of us up, but it was handled professionally and they were early every pickup.

No, her van is just like most of the others, but it was the service and trust I felt from her that made it all the more worthwhile to arrange it in advance rather than just picking up a random taxi at the airport.
 
I am shocked and sorry to read about some negative experiences with Sandra and her team; especially since I am one of the ones that has recommended her in the past. We have used Sandra's cabs about 10 times over the years and they have always been early, taken us to the store, served us free beer, charged us the proper amounts, etc. Hopefully these are a few isolated problems and she will work on them. Tom thanks for sharing an alternative cab company in case these problems with Sandra continue to happen.
 
Sandy told us that she sometimes has people work for her who charge more, and she wants to know about that when it happens so she doesn't use them.
 
I am going to harborside on 8/27 and my plane from orlando won't arrive till 9:30 pm. Is it better to arrange for transportation beforehand? How much will it cost to travel from the airport to Harborside? thanks
