San Diego MVC Information

We live in the cultural center of the universe. Wichita, Kansas (sarcasm). Essentially an old cow town that grew into a small city.
We lived in Topeka for several years, so I can relate. Topeka was a no hassle city with a relatively low cost of living and it was easy to get around. I had a great job so my income went a long way. There are a lot of good things about Kansas, but I was glad to have our timeshares to get away to. The worst thing about Wichita is that you have to rely a lot on American commuter airlines that are unreliable, especially when connecting through Dallas.

AA has actually been a lot better lately. They still use to many CRJ’s but at least they’re the 700 version with a small first class. I prefer the newer Embraer commuter jets as they have larger overhead bins. My biggest complaint is being relegated to the commuter jets terminal, which can be a bit of a walk. Connection times also tend to be a little tight, and that creates some anxiety.

Routing with AA doesn’t mean going through DFW anymore. There’s a decent amount of routes through ORD and now there’s a non stop to DCA, which opens up a few new route options. Well actually fly through DCA coming home from Boston in a few months.

The railroad museum in Balboa Park is great -- I'm not a railroad fanatic, but took my son there for many years and we always enjoy it.

Please PM me when you are in town, if there is a chance to take you and your wife out for a harbor cruise, would love to do it.

Best,

Greg
