Hello!

We are a group of 3 families (6 adults total, 6 kids under 7 years old) looking to go to San Diego in late March 2023.

Ideally we would want to rent a 2 bedroom unit with kitchen per family.

That said, I don't even know if San Diego has timeshare style accommodations?

Any advice is appreciated.

There are many timeshares in the San Diego area. Tons of them (notably a number of great options affiliated with HGVC but others as well) in the Carlsbad area, and as far north as Oceanside.

In the city itself two bedroom units are at Inn at the Park, Worldmark Mission Valley, and I think a few at Gaslamp Plaza Suites.

Thanks. When I look on Redweek for San Diego, not much comes up.

Any other ideas where to search for these time share rentals?

Thank you

When I did a search on redweek I selected the Greater San Diego area. If you just select San Diego you'll likely miss the ones up in Carlsbad, La Jolla, Oceanside, Ramona, Escondido, etc. I noticed a number that had March 2023 availability. I did not drill down to a particular week.

Hi,

I have several 2 bedroom units in San Diego next to the beach that are available for your timeframe. DM me for more info if intersted

Might be good at this point to post this reminder.

How long are you staying? What are you planning to do? Legoland, Sea World, sightseeing?

Since you're renting anyway (not exchanging) we have been known to stay at Old Towne Inn in San Diego. Near Old Towne, and the trolly line. Some rooms have full kitchens and there is an included breakfast. The place is clean and reasonable.

Capri by the Sea and See the Sea have 2 BR timeshare units on Pacific Beach in San Diego.

Right now there are a ton of (formerly Welk) Escondido timeshares that are showing up for exchange and also for getaways. If you are an Interval member, you could easily pick up 2 or 3 units as getaways. The prices are reasonable. March is a nice time of year to be in San Diego.

We stayed last year in Carlsbad through an RCI exchange. Carlsbad Inn, I think. We liked Carlsbad so much we are going back this year to Encinitas, just down the road from Carlsbad, near Legoland. Grand Pacific Palisades. I know there are TS in Oceanside, and a total of four in Carlsbad.

Not that it is a big deal but Legoland and GPP are in Carlsbad. Encinitas is a great city for shopping eating and going to a family beach (Moonlight), and some great surf spots. These are my stomping grounds.

I've lived in San Diego county for almost 40 years and there is still a bunch of stuff that I've never seen and a bunch of things that I've seen but would enjoy seeing again. So, to find enough to do in a single week is pretty easy.
