Sad news re CathyB

CathyB is an owner at WMH and fellow Tugger. She hasn't been on Tug in awhile because vacationing had to take a back seat to caring for her beloved husband, Bruce, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.

After a brave battle, it is with sadness that I relay the news that Bruce passed away on December 27th. CathyB is devastated, as you can imagine. While she's not ready emotionally to post that information herself, she asked me to relay the information on her behalf.

Please lift her up in your thoughts and prayers as she survives these next minutes and months. And, again at Cathy's request, please give your spouse an extra hug. :(
 
Let her know my wife and I will be praying for her and giving each other some extra hugs.
 
So sorry, there are really no other words to say at such a sad time. Your right, we all should hug our spouses and remember what is really important.

So sorry for this terrible news. Words are not coming to me right now.

I remember her recent posts about his confusion, and the difficulty she was having with travel. I felt sad for her then. This is devastating news.
 
I am so deeply saddened by this news. To have this happen at what is for so many a joyful time of year, it tugs at my heart. In the last few of her posts, she expressed how difficult- even before the cancer diagnosis- it had been for Bruce to deal with the confusion, the inability to travel that they had loved so much, and finally, his needing to be moved into a facility where Bruce could get appropriate care and give Cathy a break from being the nearly sole caregiver.

We will continue to hold Cathy in our hearts. We know that Bruce is no longer in the pain that comes with a lung cancer death. We hope and pray that Cathy can now heal from the loss.

Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear this devastating news. Please take all the time you need to grieve and to get back on your feet. Your friends here all feel for you.
