?'s re match for DVC - Need info ASAP!

I just got a match for an ongoing search with RCI for DVC/Saratoga Springs - 2 bedroom unit. I have not confirmed it yet (have until Tues., Oct. 16th), but was wondering how I determine how many TPU's it will be. When I go to the page on RCI that shows the "hold", it is showing a zero for the trading power; it does show my exchanging TPU's I am using for the search which is 58.

The dates are for Apr. 28 - May 5, 2013 (Sun - Sun).

I'd like to know the TPU's that will be needed for this before I confirm - or can't I see that until I actually confirm?

The TPUs are normally listed on the "available units" tab. I can't check for you, because all of the 2BRs are no longer available. If the studio is running at 24, my guess would be 36 to 40 for a 2BR --- but that is strictly a guess.

Probably your only option if it's not showing online.

if you go to release or confirm but don't take the final step it should show you the tpu's. if you select confirm you will see the tpu's on the right. If you select release you will see the tpu's in the center. In either case you can then select cancel (the confirm or release) and it will go back to the held state.

The release option with also show you the unit in the system. It may not be the one you are assigned if you keep it or it may be.

DVC "unit" designations only tell you the size (which you already know), the check in day (ditto), and for resorts which have bookable views, the view. The latter only applies to AKV and BLT, if I recall correctly, though there may be one other. For SSR it is immaterial.

Thanks to all who responded. The TPU's needed for this exchange is 29. I am still undecided on whether I'll take it or release it. I have until the close of business day on Tuesday to make up my mind.

Can you tell me how long you had a search on for. I've been searching for about 8 weeks now for a few DVC resorts (2 bdrm) for a 30 Mar 13 check in. Do you think DVC has posted all the weeks for that time frame already. This is my first ongoing search, so i'm still learning.

I entered my initial search for different dates (was originally looking for 1st week in Dec. 2013) back in June, 2012. I changed my date request just this last Friday and immediately got a "hit" that night.

I'm assuming that someone released the week that day and I got very lucky. After discussion with my daughter (she, son-in-law and grandkids) are going with us for that week.

JPD--if you really want DVc for that week, you need to put in 3/29 and 3/31 as well, as DVc has fri/sat/cun check-ins. Sometimes, DVC puts in Fri/Sun but not Sat--that happened to us 2 years ago. We took a fri-fri for Easter week, ditched the arrival fri night (but our room was waiting for us at 9am the next day vs. 4pm) and then stayed in a hotel on the next friday. Seems like a pain, but we got a great DVc unit for Easter break. I would do that again, in a heartbeat. good luck. elaine
