After 40+ years of T/S ownership, I am no longer "an owner"
Well . . . with my retirement official (as of Wednesday 5/8) . . . next up is my much anticipated RV2AK road trip from Milwaukee to Anchorage. After months of planning, today is the day! My sister Pam is flying into Milwaukee and we'll be hitting the road early this afternoon for Forest City, IA. We will pick up our Winnebago Solis campervan tomorrow and start our big adventure. I've started a blog, which will most likely not be updated very often due to the lack of internet access for much of the coming 3 weeks. I will be making handwritten notes and taking lots of photos, so I will update & post when I can.

If interested, I hope folks will follow along.

This is the style campervan we'll be travelling in

Safe travels, you two! And have lots of fun and see lots of wildlife! Life's an adventure!

Jim

That sure looks like I trip I would love. Have a safe great time.

I hope you don’t have any mechanical difficulties. It will be a great trip.

Have a wonderful time on your well-deserved adventure! Such an exciting beginning to your new chapter!

Dori

Looks like quite the adventure! Can’t wait to read/see more about it! Safe travels!

Well I just got back home yesterday. What an AMAZING adventure we had!

While on the road blogging turned out to not really be feasible, but I did post a lot of photos/updates on my Facebook page. It's set as "public" for anyone who wishes to check in our what we saw & did.

I do plan on posting to my blog for this trip . . . and will start later this week.

Wow, looks like an amazing trip!

You survived the Alcan highway !
Actually only part of it, as there were fires north of Ft Nelson, so we had to do the Cassiar Hwy from Jasper up to near Watson Lake, YT.

Well blogging has begun . . . I'm only through the first week (3 posts/entries) but thought folks might be interested in checking it out. I'll be working on the Alaska portion of our RV2AK Adventure over the weekend, so please check back. Here is the link to the blog: https://2024gahspringadventure2alaska.blogspot.com/ .

I have completed my blogging on my 3 weeks in Alaska! Here is the link, which includes several individual posts covering our adventure. I should forewarn folks, GOOGLE's Blogger platform isn't pretty when viewed on a mobile device. The posts and images look much better on a desktop or notebook.

I will be doing a separate blog to cover the Winnebago Solis we had for the 18 days. There are places I'll want to share those experiences and opinions, without having to have them buried in the guts of the actual trip experience.
