Called reservations to pay my quarterly MF and inquire on the number of my unit still available for next Christmas at Dolphin's Cove. I explained to her that I check every couple weeks because I am trying to delay prepaying the entire use year's MF for as long as possible.

She replied that she received a memo just this morning, stating that we no longer need to prepay our MF when making a resv for an upcoming year, our MF just have to be current.

Also, I had learned a couple weeks ago that the reservation period for Weeks owners is 24 months, not 12 as I had thought.

I didn't get that clarified. She said an email from corporate, so I interpreted it as a system wide rule for Wyndham managed weeks.

This had better be for FLOATING WEEKS OWNERS ... as I own Fixed, Deeded WEEKS at Wyndham Resorts.

If you are a fixed week owner you don't make a Resie, you just have your unit every year. They assign you a Resie number but you are not calling in yo make a reservation.
Float week owners have always needed to prepay maint fees to reserve up to 24 months in advance.

Bluebeard's BeachClub has fixed, float and point owner ships so I am familiar with the process.

But apparently each resort sets their own policy so this will be resort specific.

Interesting.
