Yes, there is a lap pool elevated above the main pool which I have used. Water cascades from one to the other.
It is not very long... maybe 20-25 yards... but the lanes have proper markers on the floor and the ends for turns so an experienced swimmer won't have any trouble using it. You may notice the the end of the pool is curved but there is a flat turn wall submerged a few feet back from the curve.
The same pool is used for volleyball so you may see a net over the pool as well. But the volleyball crowd tends to come out at happy hour in the late afternoon so lap swimmers have plenty of opportunity to use the pool for laps at other times. I don't think either use is scheduled.
One more thing on the lap pool. There always seems to be a lot of kids that hang out at the end closest to the main pool. If you want to actually swim laps, I would recommend doing that in the earlier morning hours.
Yes, I should have mentioned that... but it has not stopped me from doing laps since they tend to be on the other side of the turn wall. The designer of the pool was really smart.
It is also fairly easy to shoo them off if they are just playing in the pool.
