Has anyone out there tried to get Royal Holiday Club take back a timeshare ownership/membership. Or has anyone just stopped paying the maintenance fee in an attempt to get rid if it? What was the result or the repercussions?

They won't take the membership back. If you have a large amount of points you may be able to give it away for free.
 
Hi, I own a Royal Holiday membership which is only 25,000 points or Gold status. Its hard to say but they are based in Mexico as I recall, so giving it back my be different than how US rule of law would work. Have you tried to offer it on TUG for free? How many points do you have and what's the expiration date? I would have an interest in knowing more.
