Hi all,
I was lucky enough to grab a Royal Sands getaway on II and will be there Feb 27th to March 6th. I was wondering what the prices for the Breakfast buffet at the Caribbean now cost? Also If anyone knows what the ages are for kids to eat free at the buffet, My kids are 4 and 6.
Thanks, Johnny

Breakfast Buffet

At the Royal Mayan the breakfast buffet, in checking my checkout slip, was 180 pesos per person or approximately $14.95 USD. This was during the last week of January this year. I only went once during the week. This buffet used to be a great value, but not anymore.

I don't know what the age limit is for kids to eat free.

I think kids that age are half price, not free, though I'm not positive.

Wow, it has gone up 50% in USD since we were there.

It's now prohibitive with four of us.

Back in the day when it was around $8.95 and the two kids were half-price, we'd do it every-other-day. No longer.

The Royal Resorts are now SQUEEZING both owners and guests with price increases not only for the breakfast buffet..(I can remember when it was just $5.95...!!) BUT also in other areas, as well.!

I have rented my lock-off to a couple from Indiana...and to REGISTER them to allow them to occupy the lock-off now ...costs..A REGISTRATION FEE OF
$35.00.....!!!!! Another way to squeeze $$$$ out of owners..

You now need to go to www.ownerloans@royalresorts.com to register either guests or for full or partial rental of your unit.

I just looked at the number of weeks for sale in Mexico..and the Royal Resorts accounted for more than 60% of all those being offered for sale...!!

Is there a trend....here..???

AND...the TOTAL number of weeks for sale on TUG...is over 5,000........:wall:

Owner Loans

You now need to go to www.ownerloans@royalresorts.com to register either guests or for full or partial rental of your unit.

I believe you only pay the fee if you use the online or paper owner loan procedure to obtain a confirmation number for your guests or renters.

I preregistered my brother this past week four and there were no issues.

I just send a letter to the renter CC to ISCO; last time I did this a confirmation number was sent to me via email and I forwarded it on.
