Rollaway Beds in Maui or Ko Olina

Are there roll away beds available in MOC, Lahaina tower and Ko Olina? Just trying to figure out the logistics of having 3 grandparents along with 3 children under 5 plus me and my spouse in a 2BR. The grandparents don't mind being in a room and I was thinking that if I put them in the master suite with a roll away, it would be perfect. This way they would have the dedicated bathroom without creating too much noise in the main room.

Then, the wife and I and the kids can be in the other room, with the kiddos in the pull out sofa in the room.

Normally we would have the kids in the main room but the grandparents are up at all hours of the night and my mom likes to go out for early morning walks. We want to make sure the kids sleep uninterrupted.

Steven,

I believe there are rollaway beds at MOC -- their phone is 808 667 1200 and may be worth a call to confirm. Your plan, as outlined, would work but it would be tight having a rollaway in the Master bedroom. I would look at some of the pictures of the MBR on redweek, it might be tight?

Best,

Greg

This would work in the two older towers of Ko Olina. They have roll aways and it fits well in the sun room next to the master. I think they eliminated this room in the new tower. Not sure if they added that space into the master or not. Without it, it would be difficult to fit the roll away in there.

We recently received a letter asking us if we need a roll-away at the Lahaina tower but it is too tight to put a roll-away in the master bedroom even if you take the chair and footrest out, IMO.

I agree that a roll-away will not work in the master bedroom in the Lahaina or Napili Towers. It works great in the eating/living room area. We've done it several times.

The 2 BR units sleep 6 privately and 8 total. I'm guessing that there might be a hide-a-bed in the master or in the lock-off and a hide-a-bed in the living room.

So you'll have 2 people bedding together in each of 2 areas plus four people on two sleeping beds in the remaining area. Or put differently, there are four "beds" or equivalent. If that doesn't work, then go for the roll-a-way.

Yes, the lock-off sleeps 4 people. The sofa makes a queen-size bed and another queen-size bed in the living room and then the king-size bed in the master bedroom.

Check floor plan pictures of the Lahaina and Napili Villas:

You can enlarge the pictures quite a bit.

We used a roll away bed for our son in the master at MOC and found it spacious enough.
