There are no reviews of this resort- has anyone been there? The only review is of the Grand Luxxe which apparently is a part of it.? I would appreciate any information available about the resort and activities in the area.
Thanks

She is staying at the VIDA also known as the Mayan group. Mayan palace, grand luxxe all in same resort.
If your at Mayan palace, one can not use the grand Mayan or higher facilities. Grand lux can use AII facilities.
Also you will be ticked into the facilities. Much more lay back.
The resorts are all together in a complex around ten miles north of the Town of Playa del Carmen. The resorts are ranked fro low to high
Grand Mayan - Nice resort
Grand Bliss - Better than most Marriott's
Grand Luxxe - Like a Four Seasons
Grand Luxxe - Spa Tower (maybe just the West Coast Spa Tower) OMG resort
Three things to know:
The Mayan Group is known for the most aggressive timeshare sales tactics ever. Read the threads about pressure, four hour presentations, and lies.
This resort location is very secluded. You could take a shuttle from the airport and just enjoy the property all week. I rented a car and drove to Xcaret and Tulum. Wife speaks Spanish, so, I was comfortable driving the country. We prefer to stay in Cancun for all the places to eat.
These resorts are not mandatory all-inclusive for II exchanges. You can get into the Grand Luxxe on an exchange and that is a great deal.
Thanks for the review of Maya Rivera sites. I got this because I needed to use a deposited week. I think we would have been better in a smaller place. We plan to visit Tulum, Isla Mujeres, etc- we both speak Spanish. We will avoid the timeshare sales!!!!
Anita!
