We will be in disney. I am wondering if there is any restaurant that will have a nice view of the firework. We can enjoy dinner and look at the view. It can be inside of a park or outside of the park (not sure whether downtown disney have firework at night).

I would recommend
- 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort
- Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian Resort
- California Grill at the Contemporary Resort

You may have to wait for a window table at any of these, and that can be a problem since the people before you may hog the table. Try to schedule the right time for the reservation, and request a window table.
The California Grill may be the best way to go, as most people venture out to the observation deck for a bird's eye view from the 15th floor.

Narcoossee's and the California Grill will be pricey, but both are very good. There is a dress code for the California Grill, and probably for Narcoossee's as well. Nothing fancy, just no cut-offs, tank tops etc... Most people will dress somewhat nice.
'Ohana is a laid back, family style all you can eat meal. The price is reasonable, and the food is outstanding.
There is also some entertainment for the kids.

The absolute best place to view Wishes is from Mainstreet. That said, I wouldn't watch them from a restaurant at the Magic Kingdom because you will never see through a standing crowd.

Being a DVC Member you may know most of this, but I figured I would type away for the benefit of others.

I assumed you meant Wishes at Magic Kingdom, but there is also Illuminations at Epcot if you prefer.
If you would rather do Illuminations:
- Cantina de San Angel across from the Mexican pavillion
- Rose & Crowne in the United Kingdom pavillion

The Cantina de San Angel is a counter service place, but we find the food very good. The price, although not cheap, is reasonable because it is counter service. You will need to get there VERY EARLY if you want a table on the water for the best view.

There are some coveted tables outside at Rose & Crowne, but most are inside. The outside tables would undoubtedly be a better view. You can probably request an outside table, but again you may run into a problem if the previous people are hogging it.
The price is reasonable, and the food is good.

For an outside the park suggestion...

Try the Grosvenor next to Disney Village on Lake Buena Vista Drive. Their restaurant overlooks DisneyWorld and has a very reasonably priced a la carte or buffet style dinner.

Yes, that hotel is on Walt Disney World property, but what fireworks will you see from there? Pleasure Island no longer has fireworks, and even when they did they were not really show-worthy.

I've also recently read some unflattering things about the hotel. Is the restaurant good?

At EPCOT, Japan has a lounge on the second floor that overlooks the lagoon and offers a good view of the fireworks. We sometimes get a table by the window and just relax and enjoy a Samurai while we watch Illuminations. The down side of watching from indoors is you can't hear the narration that goes along with the show. The good news is you have a nice seat and your view isn't blocked by the trees or the crowd.

The restaurant is excellent even the buffet. As far as fireworks go, the restaurant has windows facing west, north and south, all overlooking Disneyworld. I would think one of those directions would enable one to see the firworks as the Grovsnor is a tall building taller than their neighboring hotels.

Perhaps so, but you will be several miles from Wishes, and at least a mile from Illuminations. I think the view to Illuminations will be blocked, but maybe not. You will certainly not have a good view.
This is definitely not a firework viewing restaurant by any stretch of the imagination in my opinion.
