Does anyone know anything about this resort. I didn't see a review for it on the resort page. There are some getaway deals for it on II and I am tempted since I am looking for a 2 bedroom in Kauai for June and we prefer Poipu over Princeville. We love the Waiohai but it is too expensive to rent. We have 3 young kids and need a place with a good pool.

Any thoughts?

I don't know which specific resort this might be. Poipu Kai is the name of an entire development area that includes private homes, several whole ownership condo resorts, the Diamond Resorts Point at Poipu timeshare, and the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Within Poipu Kai, I have seen Resort Quest listed as the rental agent for several of the condo projects.

It could be that one of the resorts is specifically named Poipu Kai. But in any case it would be good to verify that you know what specifric property you would be renting and what type of view you would be getting.

Overview
ResortQuest at Poipu Kai is a condominium resort on 70 acres in sunny Poipu, Kauai. Brennecke's and Shipwreck Beach - two world-class beaches - are just a stroll away.

You'll stay in one of five upscale condominium communities, each with its own distinctive style. Your suite will evoke the relaxed lifestyle of the Islands, and will feature a fully equipped kitchen and private lanai.

While staying with us, be sure to take advantage of our many recreational facilities, including swimming pools, jet spas, tennis courts, and a scenic trail for jogging and walking. Many fine restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions are all nearby.

It is 5 condo complexes, like Steve said in the general area of the Poipu at the Point.

I have driven through that area, looks like a typical condo development, I didn't see any great pool areas, so if that is one of your needs, might want to look around more.

fwiw,

Greg

I asked the Hawaii Review Mgr. about this resort and it's not on the TUG review pages because it's not a timeshare. Try looking it up on www.tripadvisor.com - put the exact name in the search box.

Looking at Google Earth's imagery and comparing it to the photos on the Resort Quest website, the property appears to be the condos that you pass as you walk the path from the Point at Poipu TS to the Hyatt at Shipwreck Beach.
